About Wayne Vanwyck

Wayne Vanwyck has worked for over 30 years with large and small businesses as a sales and leadership trainer, consultant, and speaker. His clients are in diverse industries, including insurance, real estate, manufacturing, engineering, media, and distribution. Wayne founded The Achievement Centre, a centre dedicated to sales and leadership development, in 1984.

In 2010, Wayne began the transition process for his business by partnering with Marc Lacoursiere who started with 50% of the business but now owns 100% of the shares.

He is the author of the bestselling book Pure Selling™, writes columns for a number of business magazines, and has published over 300 articles on sales, leadership, entrepreneurship, and succession planning. He is also the creator of the Pure Selling (Formerly ACCISS™) Sales Course, an internationally distributed program available in English and French.

In 2008, Wayne and his wife Dawna took a six-month sabbatical and traveled around North America. During that time, Wayne interviewed individuals who had sold their businesses. Their stories are shared throughout his book, The Business Transition Crisis. Going further, Wayne created The Business Transition Coach Forum™ a step-by-step program designed to help business owners prepare themselves and their business for the transition or sale of their business.

Active in his community, Wayne is a member and past president of the Kiwanis Club of Elmira, a founding director of the Waterloo Region Dragon Boat Festival, and a former director on the board of Junior Achievement.The Vanwycks have been married for nearly four decades and have two adult children.
